Hawaiian Fresh Farms challenged The Agency to create the brand and voice for their product that they could continue to carry on through their social media, advertising, and farmers market presence, across multiple product lines. Creating a multi-faceted, yet cohesive brand that communicates the soul and ideals of traditional farming is no small order. From copywriting, voice creation, logo, branding, website and collateral all the way through a hands-on market or crowdfunding launch and social media strategy, Hawaiian Fresh Farms was a challenge.
With design led by Jon Lewis, Development by Justin Hernandez, and Social Media by Mike Prasad, we were able to represent the core values of Hawaiian Fresh Farms, while applying differentiating purposeful visual cues to each area of their business. We set the tone and manner of communications in multiple media forms and launched their digital presence on Facebook, Instagram and others, rapidly growing their first 1,000 fans, targeted specifically to seed a strong community.
AAA/ADDY PELE AWARDS 2013 GOLD WINNER! Hawaii Cocktail Week and the Pacific Sessions is the first-of-its-kind event in Hawaii and we were faced with very specific goals: Create a design and brand that was representative of high end craft cocktail culture and location without falling into the cliché, establish a digital presence with national reach both industry and public, define a brand standard and platform what would introduce and represent a bespoke yet accessible experience across multiple types of media..
Design and web development was led by Jon Lewis with creative and digital strategy by Mike Prasad and digital PR by Joanne Magday. The resulting effort led to over 7,000 targeted fans, brand exposure and industry recognition nationally, continuing national press and blogger coverage both online and in print, plus a very successful first year event that brought both Hawaii Cocktail Week and the local cocktail scene into the national spotlight.
Makani Catamaran had a key issue: In a highly price-competitive market, largely destroyed by GroupOn offers, they were having trouble competing, despite having a multi-million dollar catamaran and 5-star reviewed staff. Given tight margins, and minimal resources, we were able to put an effective solution together that was within their budget and allowed Makani to self-manage their digital presence effectively.
Starting with a reframing of the brand and new website by Jon Lewis and Justin Hernandez, we established a presence that integrated realtime social media interaction and user engagement, drove direct bookings and conversion, services GroupOn redemptions without highlighting it, and visually communicated a high-value, quality trusted experience. Mike Prasad crafted a digital strategy, analysis and led hands-on training of Makani staff, which enabled them to keep content and engagement continuous, efficient and effective.
AAA/ADDY PELE AWARDS 2013 SILVER WINNER! How do you make a new brand old? How do you make a old cliché new? How do you sell a product that doesn't exist yet, in an area that most consumers aren't aware of? These were just a few of the questions that were asked of us for Hawaii Bitters Company, which would later be successfully launched on Kickstarter. The answer was to start with a brand structure derived from century old classic standards, but evolve it with contemporary art aesthetic, then launch it all around a digital campaign with strategic messaging and converstion points.
Direction, strategy, copywriting, marketing, ecommerce and digital was led by Mike Prasad with artwork by Vers Hawaii, resulting in a crowdfunded success, raising over $20,000 (over 2x), and gaining international recognition and driving sales around the world. Hawaii Bitters Company established a presence on par with some of the top competitive brands, despite being a brand new startup.
